Exhibition Details and Logistics

Nearly 80 tons of equipment have traveled from Europe to Mexico City, originating from 18 shipping containers transported by sea from Milan, Italy. The artworks signed by Burton were airlifted with stringent security protocols in place.

Approximately 50 experts from Spain and Mexico, along with two individuals who work closely with Burton, have collaborated on the exhibition setup.

Mexico City will be the first stop in America for “Tim Burton, El Laberinto,” following its debut in Madrid, Spain, and subsequent installations in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, and Milan. The equipment then traveled by land from Veracruz to the capital.

Burton’s previous exhibition in Mexico City, “El mundo de Tim Burton,” was a resounding success at the Museo Franz Mayer from 2017 to 2018, attracting around 310,000 visitors—a record-breaking number for the museum.
