Advance Composites Inaugurates New Facilities to Boost Production Capacity
Aguascalientes, Mexico: The Japanese company Advanced Composites recently inaugurated its new facilities in the municipality of San Francisco de los Romo, investing over 250 million pesos to increase production capacity and meet the demands of national and international clients.
Governor’s Recognition of Japanese Investment
María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel, the Governor of Aguascalientes, officiated the inauguration ceremony. She emphasized the significance of Japanese investment in the state’s economic development, highlighting Japan’s crucial role as an ally since the late 20th century in establishing Aguascalientes as a global automotive powerhouse.
“Aguascalientes has always welcomed investments, as it provides a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and expand. Japanese investments have been instrumental in solidifying Aguascalientes as the Mexican state with the highest Japanese capital investment historically,” stated Jiménez Esquivel.
According to official data, from 1999 to the fourth quarter of 2024, Japanese investments in Aguascalientes have exceeded $8 billion. Currently, 120 Japanese companies operate in the state, generating over 186,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Production Capacity Expansion
Pedro Padilla Padilla, Vice President of Supply Chain at Advanced Composites, announced that the expansion would boost daily production to 350 tonnes, resulting in an annual output of 120,000 tonnes of polypropylene compounds primarily for the automotive industry.

Margarita Gallegos Soto, the Municipal President of San Francisco de los Romo, and Esaú Garza de Vega, Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology for the State, also attended the event.
