Introduction and Overview

Despite the center of Tropical Depression Two being located 160 kilometers east-northeast of Veracruz, Ver., and 340 kilometers east-southeast of Tuxpan, its effects are already being felt in northeast Mexico. The system has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h, gusts up to 65 km/h, and is moving west-northwest at 11 km/h.

According to the National Water Commission (Conagua), this phenomenon will bring heavy rainfall to Nuevo León and northern Tamaulipas on Sunday, with even more intense rain expected on Monday, June 30.

In Nuevo León, rainfall accumulations are expected to range from 5 to 25 millimeters. However, the mountainous regions and southern parts of the state may experience more intense rainfall, with localized accumulations between 25 and 50 millimeters.
