Introduction to Puebla’s Summer Vacation Campaign

For the summer vacation season of 2025, the state of Puebla is gearing up to welcome visitors from local, national, and international backgrounds with a variety of activities that highlight its architectural and gastronomic style. The Secretaría de Economía y Turismo has planned several events, including guided tours, museum nights, sports, and the much-anticipated chile in nogada season.

Mayor Pepe Chedraui Budib Extends Invitation

During the presentation of the Summer Tourism Promotion Campaign and Activity Calendar for the 2025 Vacation Season, Mayor Pepe Chedraui Budib extended an invitation to everyone interested in visiting Puebla’s architectural, gastronomic, artisanal, and cultural attractions.

“We must welcome our neighbors, states, and municipalities, who come to visit Puebla, that Puebla receives them with open arms,” he expressed.

Chedraui Budib emphasized the significance of economic impact, hotel occupancy, and job creation during the summer vacation period.

“Puebla, Imagina Más” – The Intelligent and Digital Campaign

Jaime Oropeza Casas, head of the Secretaría de Economía y Turismo, highlighted that the tourism promotion campaign is intelligent and digital, developed based on a market study conducted in collaboration with the Consejo Nacional Empresarial Turístico (CNET). The campaign targets Puebla’s primary attractions, such as gastronomy, culture, and art, focusing on the states of origin for visitors and tourists, including the Federal District, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Tlaxcala, Morelos, and Veracruz, which account for up to 80% of Puebla’s visitors.

The campaign aims to attract more tourists, enhance their experience in Puebla, encourage longer stays, ensure their return for future vacations, and generate positive word-of-mouth recommendations as a top-notch and secure travel destination.

Tourism Director Carlos Huerta Outlines Objectives

Carlos Huerta, Director of Tourism, explained that the promotional campaign’s goal is to attract a large number of visitors to Puebla’s capital. As part of this initiative, a detailed activity calendar for July and August has been created, offering options suitable for all ages and scheduled daily across various locations in the city. These activities include both temporary and permanent events, as well as interinstitutional programs.

The calendar will be distributed digitally to hotels, service centers, and the tourism police.
