Introduction to the Project and its Significance
Clara Brugada Molina, the Head of Government for Mexico City, officially commenced construction on Utopía Hermanos Galeana in the Gustavo A. Madero alcaldía. This will be the largest of its kind in the city, spanning 23 hectares and housing the Aventura Galáctica project, designed to educate visitors about the cosmos and provide an experience akin to that of astronauts.

Community Impact and Benefits
The Utopía Hermanos Galeana project aims to provide free access to sports, culture, and recreational activities for millions of residents in the Gustavo A. Madero alcaldía. By ensuring these resources are freely available, Brugada Molina seeks to uplift the community and offer opportunities that have previously been inaccessible.
Moreover, the Utopía will feature spaces dedicated to addressing addiction issues and combating gender-based violence, further enhancing the well-being of local residents.
Collaboration and Future Plans
Raúl Basulto Luviano, the Secretary of Public Works and Services (Sobse), emphasized that this Utopía will be one of the largest in the city, covering nearly half of the 50 hectares available at the Deportivo Hermanos Galeana. He anticipates constructing six to eight similar projects in the Gustavo A. Madero alcaldía during the current administration.
The project will not only strengthen existing sports and cultural activities but also introduce new facilities such as a semi-Olympic swimming pool, weightlifting and boxing gyms, improved soccer and baseball fields, and a multi-purpose auditorium. Additionally, there will be over 20 spaces for workshops, dance and music schools, more than 10 medical consultation rooms, dental care, nutritional guidance, mammography services, and a laboratory clinic—all offered free of charge.
