Monterrey, NL. Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda of Nuevo León led the unveiling ceremony of the Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC) Campus Monterrey in San Nicolás de los Garza, marking the first UNITEC campus in the state. The event took place after a tour of the facilities accompanied by the Secretary of Education, Juan Paura.

Nuevo León’s Educational Leadership

García highlighted that Nuevo León is leading nationally in all indicators, especially education. He emphasized the state’s strong investment in mid-level, higher, and postgraduate education, which fuels the dual education model.

“The arrival of UNITEC in Nuevo León, one of Mexico’s most crucial economic drivers, responds to a strategic vision,” said Gabriela Martínez, UNITEC’s Institutional Rector. “It directly addresses the state’s growing economic, industrial, and population growth alongside its high demand for skilled talent.”

Nuevo León has established itself as a leading national economy and innovation hub, with significant educational contributions, especially at mid-level and higher education levels.
