Program Overview and Participating Entities

Starting Monday, August 11th, registration opened for the Housing for Well-being (PVB) program, a government initiative led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in collaboration with the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), the Secretariat of Welfare, and the National Housing Commission (Conavi).

The PVB aims to ensure the right to adequate housing. The program anticipates up to 20,999 social housing actions focused on highly marginalized communities, single mothers, young people, and groups with social deficiencies.

Although no modules are currently available nationwide in this initial phase, plans are to expand them to cover the entire national territory. Currently, 58 modules have been set up in 51 municipios across 20 entities:

  1. Baja California

The entities mentioned that the process is free and does not require intermediaries. They emphasized that it is conducted only in person at official modules, where trained personnel will verify documents and issue a receipt.

Registration Process

Rodrigo Chávez Contreras, Director of Conavi, highlighted that the process aims to be organized and transparent. The registration is personal, non-transferable, and can only be done at designated modules where staff will verify documents and issue a receipt. Requirements include a valid official ID, CURP, and proof of residence.

Operating hours generally range from 8:00 to 16:00, though some modules may have extended or specific hours. To find module locations and dates, visit this link to review the interactive map. If your entity isn’t listed, stay tuned for subsequent phases.

Applications will be evaluated within 20 business days, and preliminary lists will be published on the Conavi official website. Subsequently, preselected individuals will be contacted via phone call, text message, or WhatsApp for home verification visits.
