Bureaucratic Barriers Above National Average
According to Coparmex’s latest Data Coparmex study, Jalisco faces more bureaucratic hurdles for businesses than the national average. This places Jalisco among the states most affected by bureaucratic burden and administrative inefficiency.
Call for Regulatory Improvement
Coparmex, led by Raúl Flores López, emphasizes the need to accelerate regulatory improvement, simplification, and digitalization processes. The goal is to reduce operational costs and strengthen competitiveness.
Insecurity Also Affects Businesses
Data Coparmex also highlights persistent insecurity as another challenge for Jalisco’s business sector. According to the study, 55.4% of Jalisco’s entrepreneurs reported being victims of a crime in the past year, surpassing the national average of 51%. Although this figure is concerning, Jalisco remains below states with higher insecurity levels, such as the State of Mexico (66.7%) and Aguascalientes (64%).
Coparmex urges continued strengthening of public security strategies and justice, focusing on collaboration among all levels of government to protect businesses and productive chains.
Investment Sentiment Remains Stable
Despite the mentioned challenges and a complex environment due to global disruptions and national regulatory changes, Jalisco’s entrepreneurs maintain a relatively stable investment sentiment.
Data Coparmex indicates that 40.2% of Coparmex members in Jalisco believe it’s an excellent time for investment, slightly above the national average of 38.3%.
