The Governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta, has expressed that the American Dream is now the Pueblan Dream and a reality. The Instituto Poblano de Asistencia al Migrante (IPAM) has already distributed 75 support packages to beneficiaries of the Migrant Entrepreneur program, each receiving 20,000 pesos.

Migrant Entrepreneurs Investing in Puebla

More than 100,000 Pueblan migrant entrepreneurs in the United States are collaborating with the Puebla Government to invest in solar panel projects. Lino León, a migrant entrepreneur, emphasized that for the first time, they are enthusiastic about working with a government that knows how to invest and values the contributions of their fellow Pueblans.

Government Prioritizes Migrant Investments

During his morning press conference, Governor Armenta highlighted the presence of migrants who have invested in Puebla, describing them as warriors who stand by the state. He stated that migrant brothers have top priority in the state’s investments.

Armenta also encouraged migrants to invest in the “Capital of Technology and Sustainability” development pole, as well as in 15 science and technology projects collaborating with President Claudia Sheinbaum’s government.

Success Stories and Support Programs

María de los Ángeles Ruiz Garcia, a native of Santa Inés Ahuatempan, returned to Puebla after two years in the United States and received a 20,000-peso resource from the Migrant Entrepreneur program. This support will help her start an affordable eatery and receive a scholarship for her small business. “I had planned to return, but now I have many reasons to stay and support my daughter’s education.”

Felipe David Espinoza Rodríguez, the General Director of IPAM, mentioned that the government has assisted both returning migrants and those still abroad. From January to date, over 5,300 people have been repatriated to Puebla. IPAM has distributed 75 support packages, each worth 20,000 pesos, to various entrepreneurial projects such as grocery stores, affordable eateries, carpentry, and floristry in municipalities like Puebla, Tehuacán, Atlixco, Santa Inés Ahuatempan, Tecamachalco, and Izúcar de Matamoros.
