Querétaro’s Delegation Meets with Council of the Americas

Querétaro, Qro. With the aim of strengthening ties between Querétaro and international investors, a state delegation of officials met with members of the business organization Council of the Americas (COA). The meeting aims to establish contacts and position the state as a strategic destination for innovation, business, and social development.

The Delegation

The meeting is part of a tour by a Querétaro delegation in New York, USA. The delegation included Querétaro’s governor, Mauricio Kuri González, and the vice president of Americas Society/Council of the Americas, Ragnhild Melzi, along with other state officials and COA members.

The Council of the Americas comprises companies from various sectors, including banking, energy, manufacturing, consulting, consumer products, media, technology, and transportation.

During the meeting, COA representatives discussed their activities in the Western Hemisphere, focusing on economic and social development, open markets, rule of law, and democracy. Regarding Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Querétaro state attracted $302 million in FDI from January to March 2025, showing a slower pace compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
