Querétaro, a Mexican state known for its thriving aerospace industry, has begun its participation in the sixth edition of Feria Aeroespacial México (Famex) 2025, held from April 23 to 26 at the Base Aérea Militar No.1 in Santa Lucía, Estado de México.

“Today, we are showcasing Querétaro as a prime investment destination in the aerospace industry, with a firm commitment to providing investors with a secure, competitive environment, high quality of life, and a state that is a national and international reference,” Del Prete Tercero stated during the Famex inauguration cocktail.

Querétaro’s International Standing in the Aerospace Sector

Querétaro ranks as the eighth most competitive aeronautical region globally, according to Sedesu. The state is also working on establishing itself as a reference in the space industry, with initiatives such as certifying the Aeropuerto Internacional de Querétaro (AIQ) as a spaceport for space exploration operations.

Famex 2025: A Pivotal Event for the Aerospace Industry

Famex 2025 is Mexico’s most significant aeronautical security and defense event, serving as a platform for commercial exchange, foreign investment, and job creation in the sector. This year, 337 companies participate, with representation from 48 countries, including Brazil as the guest country of honor. There are 67 Mexican and six foreign aircraft, along with participation from twelve universities, as reported by the Mexican government.

Querétaro’s Attraction for Aerospace Investment

From 2012 to 2024, Mexico has attracted $3,441 million in FDI from the aerospace sector, as per the Secretaría de Economía. During this period, Chihuahua, Baja California, Coahuila, Querétaro, and Nuevo León have been the primary investment destinations.
