Coordinated Efforts Across All Levels of Government

Rosa Icela Rodríguez, the Secretary of Gobernación, reported that a total of 4,959 Peace Journeys have been conducted as part of the National Security Strategy’s “Attention to the Causes that Generate Violence” component. This collaborative effort among federal, state, and local governments aims to address the root causes of violence in municipalities with high crime rates or conflict.

Significant Progress in Conflict-Prone Areas

During the Conference of the People presided over by Claudia Sheinbaum, the President, Rodríguez highlighted that these initiatives have reached three million 454 thousand individuals across two million 240 thousand people in the most troubled municipalities. She emphasized, “As our President has stated: We are doing well and will do even better. We will continue working for the benefit of all.”
