Norma Ávila López, a resident of Exhacienda de Chapulco, praised the benefits of working together with the Security Secretariat. Her colonia became the first in the municipality to achieve this connection, with 10 cameras linked to the DERI and experiencing zero crimes, only minor civil offenses.

Ana Lilia López Hilerio from Colonia Maravillas echoed similar sentiments, highlighting increased community participation and active denunciation channels through the neighborhood alarm program.

Technological Advancements in Crime Prevention

The Secretary of Public Security, Vice Admiral Francisco Sánchez, reported that 168 fraction cameras have been linked to the state’s video surveillance system. Moreover, digital alert buttons and the “Emergencies 911 Puebla” app have been installed to enhance emergency response and criminal investigation efforts. Further colonia integrations are expected in the coming days.

Beatriz Camacho, President of Coparmex, emphasized that security is a shared responsibility. Thanks to the social pact with the state government, cameras have been installed in 30 fractioned areas from an initial list of 60. A second phase aims to expand coverage, with private security companies providing technical advice and logistical support for system compatibility with C5i.
