Starting in 2025, UAE Team Emirates has established itself as the professional cycling team with the most victories in a single season, surpassing the previous world record of 85 set by HTC-Columbia in 2009.

Key Contributors to the Team’s Success

The team’s remarkable performance is largely due to two standout cyclists: Slovenian Tadej Pogacar and Mexican Isaac Del Toro. Their combined efforts account for 33% of the team’s 86 victories this season.

Notable Achievements of Pogacar and Del Toro

Tadej Pogacar:

  • 16 victories for UAE Team Emirates in 2025, including a notable win in the overall classification of the Tour de France.

Isaac Del Toro:

  • 13 victories, including a stage win in the Giro d’Italia and finishing second in the overall classification.

Team’s Standings in Major Races and UCI World Championships

As of now, Tadej Pogacar leads the team’s points standings with 4,021, followed by Joao Almeida with 2,270 points and Isaac Del Toro in third place with 2,120 points.

In major races, UAE Emirates secured only one victory – Tadej Pogacar’s win in the Tour de France. Visma / Lease a Bike won both the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España with Simon Yates and Jonas Vingegaard, respectively.

At the UCI World Championships in Ruanda, UAE Emirates had a remarkable showing, with Jay Vine earning silver behind Belgian Remco Evenepoel. Tadej Pogacar finished fourth, and Isaac Del Toro came in fifth.

Upcoming Events and Team’s Future

Pogacar and Del Toro will be key figures to watch during the final day of events in Ruanda on September 28, when the elite road race will take place. Before that, they will continue to contribute significantly to UAE Team Emirates’ record-breaking season.

Pogacar, 27, is under contract with the team until 2030, while Del Toro, 21, is signed until 2029. Their combined efforts have solidified UAE Team Emirates’ position as the most successful team in a single season in cycling history.
