Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur), a leading airport manager in Latin America, reported a 1.4% decrease in passenger traffic for September, marking its worst two septembers since 2015, excluding the distorted figures of 2020 due to early Covid-19 pandemic measures.

Cemex Completes Panama Operations Sale
Cemex, one of the world’s largest cement and concrete producers, sold its Panama operations to Dominican firm Grupo Estrella for $200 million. This sale is part of Cemex’s strategy to focus on more profitable markets by divesting less attractive ones.
Alongside the divestment, Cemex used part of the proceeds to increase its stake in Couch Aggregates, a US-based aggregates company, achieving majority ownership and expanding a strategic alliance announced in July 2024.
The Panama sale amount represents approximately 12 times the adjusted operating cash flow for the twelve months ending August 31, 2025. Cemex anticipates that investments in the US will “substantially” compensate for the lost cash flow in Panama in the short term.
