Positive Performance in Q3

During the third quarter of 2025, Gentera reported a 16.4% increase in its credit portfolio, reaching a balance of 87,793 million pesos. This growth enabled the company to serve a record-breaking 6.3 million individuals across its two operating countries.

  • Banco Compartamos México: Gentera’s primary asset, specializing in microfinance, saw its portfolio grow by 19.6% to 58,108 million pesos compared to the same period in 2024.

Gentera’s profitability also improved, with earnings of 2,156 million pesos in Q3 2025, a 23.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. For the first nine months of the year, Gentera’s profit totaled 6,485 million pesos, a 42.6% increase over 2024.

As the year’s end approaches, Majós stated, “Gentera continues to position itself for new records, backed by solid results, prudent management, the effectiveness of our digital transformation strategy, and our team’s commitment to sustainable growth and value creation for millions of people and their families.”

Challenges Ahead

Despite the positive outlook, Majós acknowledges some challenges, including maintaining credit portfolio quality and ensuring adequate funding amidst socio-political conditions.

“One of our main challenges is maintaining the quality of the portfolio. We must carefully manage client over-indebtedness, understand who our borrowers are and how much we lend them, as well as ensuring they receive comprehensive service,” Majós explained.
