Local Commerce Seeks to Connect with Major Tractor Companies

Querétaro, Qro. One of the key objectives for local businesses is to increase their involvement in industrial supply chains, a consistent challenge for the sector.

Cámara de Comercio de Querétaro’s Initiative

René Loya Poletti, President of the Cámara de Comercio de Querétaro, explained that their goal is to bring local products and services closer to major tractor companies arriving in the entity, focusing mainly on indirect procurement.

To achieve this, they are collaborating with the Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable (Sedesu), as stated by Loya Poletti.

“Our work plan aims to strengthen supply chains. For instance, I have discussed this project extensively with Secretary Marco del Prete (head of Sedesu) that when a massive investment arrives, the chamber will be more present for all aspects of secondary product procurement,” he commented.

Loya Poletti emphasized that locally, there are capabilities to provide indirect inputs demanded by the industrial sector, such as private security services and office supplies.

“When a multinational company arrives, perhaps in the automotive or aeronautical sector, the commerce chamber has all the suppliers for indirect needs like security, stationery, cleaning items, glass, aluminum, flooring—all those investments that companies make and are monthly expenses. What we’re aiming for is that chamber members supply these companies,” he explained.

Strategies to Strengthen Industrial Ties

To enhance their connection with the industrial sector, local businesses will participate in commercial exhibitions during the year’s end and plan missions to the United States and European countries to meet potential partners.

Moreover, they will participate in the upcoming edition of the Feria Internacional Ganadera de Querétaro taking place during the second half of November.
