Introduction to Bosco Quinzaños and His New Role

The Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI) has appointed Bosco Quinzaños as its new president, succeeding Jaime Fasja. Quinzaños, who also serves as the General Director of Grupo Invertierra, emphasized the necessity for conditions that encourage investment and bolster Mexico’s competitiveness through appropriate public policies and regulatory frameworks.

ADI’s Investment Targets and Impact

Quinzaños highlighted that the ADI aims to close a $15 billion investment announced this year by implementing favorable conditions that incentivize investment and strengthen Mexico’s competitiveness. This investment translates into over 355,000 direct and indirect jobs across 237 projects nationwide, accounting for 65% of the country’s real estate development.

Outgoing President Jaime Fasja’s Perspective

During the handover ceremony, outgoing president Jaime Fasja acknowledged that Mexico is undergoing significant regulatory changes that could directly impact the real estate sector. He emphasized that ADI’s stance on any legal framework transformation should be guided by principles of legal clarity, institutional balance, and promotion of responsible investment.

Key Achievements Under Fasja’s Leadership

  • Strengthened ADI’s national presence
  • Established sustainability as the core of ADI’s operations

Fasja highlighted two significant accomplishments during his presidency: enhancing ADI’s national presence and solidifying sustainability as the central focus of their operations. More than 80% of ADI members’ investments now occur outside Mexico City, in states like Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Jalisco, Baja California, Nayarit, and the State of Mexico.

ADI’s growth was accompanied by the inclusion of new members and strengthened relationships with local and state authorities, establishing ADI as a key player in leading regions across the country.

In terms of sustainability, Fasja pointed out that ADI signed an agreement with the World Green Building Council to chart a path towards carbon neutrality in buildings, setting specific goals for the 2030-2050 period.

Quinzaños’ Vision for ADI

The new president, Quinzaños, underscored ADI’s nationwide presence and its role as a strategic ally in economic development, as real estate investment generates productive linkages and promotes quality jobs across various regions.
