The Mexico City government has issued cold weather alerts, activating an Orange Alert in Tlalpan and a Yellow Alert in five other alcaldías. Five Alcaldías Under Yellow Alert for Moderately Low Temperatures
The SGIRPC activated the Yellow Alert in the following alcaldías:
- Álvaro Obregón
- Cuajimalpa
- Magdalena Contreras
- Milpa Alta
- Xochimilco
Temperatures in these areas are expected to range between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius during the same period.

Recommendations for the Population
Authorities urge residents to take precautions, especially those with children, the elderly, or respiratory conditions. Key recommendations include:
- Wear at least three layers of clothing, preferably cotton or wool.
- Apply moisturizer to protect skin from the cold.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes.
- Drink plenty of water and consume foods rich in vitamins A and C.
- Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
- If symptoms of discomfort appear, visit the nearest health center.
- If using heaters or fireplaces, ensure proper ventilation to prevent intoxication.
