Introducing MIDE’s New December Educational Program

The Museo Interactivo de Economía (MIDE) has launched its new educational program for December, blending art, technology, history, and collective creation. With refreshed activities and experiences for all ages, the museum invites visitors to rediscover its spaces following a recent renovation.

Atelier: Financial Secrets

Among the new offerings, Atelier: Financial Secrets stands out as the museum’s flagship experience. This seasonal workshop encourages visitors to explore the emotional side of money through a creative, confidential, and deeply reflective exercise.

In a secure space, individuals can anonymously share their “financial secrets”: decisions, fears, habits, or feelings usually kept hidden. These stories are then interpreted and transformed into art pieces by Mexican artists specializing in collage, displayed within the atelier space. The exhibition allows visitors to recognize that while each story is unique, many financial concerns are shared and affect people across ages and contexts.

Interactive Elements

Visitors can also write their own financial secrets in an intimate setting and deposit them in a dedicated box. Those interested can then create their own collage inspired by the story, guided by a museum mediator. The activity aims to spark conversations about how emotions influence daily economic life and how sharing these silences can lead to learning, reinterpreting experiences, and strengthening financial education from a human perspective.

Besides the atelier, MIDE offers other activities that challenge daily decisions and provide valuable information on economic, technological, and social topics.
