On Sunday, a tragic train derailment occurred on the Interoceanic Railway in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. The accident involved the principal locomotive of a train traveling from Salina Cruz to Coatzacoalcos along Line 2 of the Interoceanic Corridor. The train carried approximately 250 passengers and crew members.
