A presentation on five tourism routes across Sinaloa was given to 50 travel agents, tour operators, and specialized media outlets.
Sinaloa’s focus was on promoting its diverse offerings beyond the well-known Mazatlán beach destination. The state showcased five routes, with a special emphasis on the Pacific to the Cliffs route, which starts in Mazatlán and passes through Los Mochis, the gateway to the Copper Canyon, highlighting Topolobampo, Maviri, and El Fuerte – one of Sinaloa’s five Magical Towns.
Strengthening Air Connectivity
To bolster air connectivity, Sosa Osuna held meetings with airlines such as Volaris, Viva Aerobús, and WestJet. These discussions resulted in the creation of new routes that will be announced soon.
Attracting Tourism Investment
Regarding investment attraction, Sosa Osuna mentioned that significant hotel groups expressed strong interest in Sinaloa. Notable chains like Barceló, Iberostar, and RIU showed keen interest in investing in the region. RIU, in particular, reaffirmed its commitment to investing in Mazatlán, where it plans to build one of the world’s largest hotels.
