Introduction
The most unpredictable season in the NFL will crown its champion in Sunday’s Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, who were key players in one of the most memorable title games a decade ago.

In the opposite coast of the country, the Seahawks also had to rebuild after trading Russell Wilson, their quarterback who led them to their only Super Bowl trophy in 2014.
Following the lengthy and painful divorce from Wilson, general manager John Schneider was free to orchestrate another roster capable of reaching the Super Bowl.
By emphasizing young talent, Seattle fortified one of the league’s best defenses and, like the Patriots, strategically signed Sam Darnold for the quarterback position in free agency.
Labeled as an unreliable leader, Darnold had already played for four other teams before solidifying definitively with the Seahawks at 28.
His breakthrough came in a stellar performance against the Rams in the NFC Championship, paving the way for Seattle’s first Super Bowl appearance since their heartbreaking loss to the Patriots in 2015.
The Seahawks had the trophy in their grasp when they advanced to just one yard from their opponent with mere seconds left and a narrow 28-24 deficit.
In their quest for the game-winning touchdown, Wilson opted against a running play and instead threw an interception that Malcolm Butler secured, securing the Patriots’ fourth title and reigniting the Brady era after a decade-long drought.
