At the International Automotive Industry Supply Summit (IAISS) in Querétaro, the Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (Sedeco) of San Luis Potosí, led by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, presented a strategy to boost industrial growth without limits through supplier training, process digitalization, strengthening the Automotive Cluster, and promoting dual education.

Key Partnerships and Collaborations

The event, which facilitated over seven thousand business meetings, saw Sedeco head Jesús Salvador González Martínez reaffirm his commitment to the Bajio’s economic development. He highlighted strategic alliances with companies such as Siemens and the involvement of local firms like Unison, Faurecia, KYB, and Kingfa.

Dual Education Initiative

The dual education program, an essential component of the strategy, currently has more than 500 students enrolled across six state institutions. These students are being trained in collaboration with 49 companies, ensuring a steady supply of skilled local talent for an increasingly technology-driven and competitive industry.

The partnerships and collaborations established by Sedeco not only benefit the automotive industry but also contribute to the overall economic growth of the Bajio region.
