Coordinated Actions by the Security Cabinet Target Multiple Regions in Mexico
The Security Cabinet has executed a series of coordinated operations across 14 Mexican states, resulting in arrests, searches, and seizures of firearms and various types of drugs. These actions are part of the National Security Strategy, focusing on four key areas: addressing root causes, consolidating the National Guard, strengthening intelligence and investigation, and coordinating with federal entities.
Baja California:
In Tijuana and Ensenada, elements of the National Guard (GN), Mexican Army, and Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) conducted three raids, resulting in:
- The arrest of 10 individuals
- Seizure of three short firearms, cargers, 530 bullets, a vehicle, a motorcycle, and various drug doses
Chihuahua:
In Ciudad Juárez, GN, Mexican Army, and Chihuahua State Fiscalía collaborated to:
- Seize a long firearm, 11.4 kg of fentanyl, and 82.5 kg of marijuana
- The estimated value of the seized drugs is 40.7 million pesos
Estado de México:
In Naucalpan, GN elements apprehended one individual and secured:
- A replica of a short firearm
- Various marijuana doses and a radio communication equipment
- The estimated value of the seized drugs is 153,442 pesos
In San Juan Teotihuacán, elements of the Mexican Army and the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for Mexico City incinerated:
- 182 kg of marijuana
- 15 kg of methamphetamine
- 5 kg of cocaine
- 1 kg of heroin
- 550 grams of psychotropic substances
- 1.29 liters of psychotropic substances
- 52,977 psychotropic pills
Guanajuato:
In Jerécuaro, Jaral del Progreso, Celaya, Tarimoro, Villagrán, and Juventino Rosas, GN and Mexican Army elements detained four people and secured:
- Six stolen motorcycles
- One vehicle with 17 stolen tires
- Various drug doses
Guerrero:
In Acapulco, SSPC, GN, Mexican Army elements executed two arrest warrants against two individuals accused of homicide.
Michoacán:
In Apatzingán, Ejército Mexicano and State Police detained three people and secured:
- Two long firearms
- Six cargers
- 90 bullets
- Two homemade mortars
- Various drug doses
- Tactical gear
In Parácuaro, Buenavista, and Apatzingán, Ejército Mexicano and State Police secured:
- One long firearm
- Ten cargers
- 800 bullets
- One improvised explosive device
Oaxaca:
In Juchitán, the State Fiscalía arrested a man accused of kidnapping.

In Concordia, Mexican Army elements detained three individuals and secured:

In Centro, GN, Mexican Army, and SSPC detained eight individuals and secured:

Anti-Drug Production and Trafficking Operations:
In Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, Oaxaca, and Guerrero, Mexican Army elements destroyed:
- 165 poppy fields in 11 hectares
- 35 marijuana fields in three hectares
In El Nayar, Nayarit, Semar’s “Location, Securement, Destruction of Clandestine Plantations and Laboratories in Nayarit” operation eradicated:
- 18 poppy fields in 114,925 square meters, approximately two million eight hundred thirty-five thousand one hundred twenty-five poppy plants
In Cosalá, Sinaloa, Mexican Army elements located:
- Four areas of material diversity concentration
- 1,570 liters of methamphetamine production substances
- The estimated economic impact on criminal organizations is 33 million pesos
