Overview of the 26th Edition of Expo Constructo
Monterrey, NL. With the aim of strengthening the construction sector and showcasing innovation and technology for the industry, the 26th Edition of Expo Constructo will take place from May 28 to 30, concurrently with Ferreshow, at Cintermex. An estimated economic impact of $70 million is anticipated, with a total exceeding $400 million, according to director Edgar Medina.
Key Details of the Event
- The event will feature 110 exhibitors representing 600 brands.
- Over 5,000 visitors are expected to attend, contributing significantly to the local and national economy.
- The exhibition area spans 9,000 square meters.
Support from Local Government and Industry Leaders
During a press conference, Garza emphasized the importance of collaboration among all participants in making Nuevo León’s construction sector a solid contributor to both local and national economies.
Within the framework of Expo Constructo, CMIC will host “Diálogos” with mayors from Apodaca, Cadereyta, Escobedo, Guadalupe, Juárez, San Nicolás, Santiago, and San Pedro. This will allow affiliated members to voice their concerns and learn about municipal public works projects.
The CMIC president announced free training opportunities for those who join the chamber during the expo, enroll in the Civil Engineer Constructor career, or take any course, workshop, or diploma offered by ICIC, the training institute.
Marcelo Espinosa, president of the Architects’ College, highlighted the value of sharing knowledge and turning ideas into reality at events like Expo Constructo and Ferreshow, ensuring continuous industry updates.
Conference Series at Expo Constructo
A series of conferences will be held on May 29, starting at 1:30 PM. Topics include:
- The city as part of the business model
- Net-zero energy: State of the art
- Reflections on endangered architectural heritage
- Environment and vision: Female Leadership in Building Living and Conscious Environments
Ferreshow’s Contribution to the Economic Impact
Ferreshow, presented alongside Expo Constructo, plays a crucial role in generating economic impact and value chains. Leopoldo Campos, Ferreshow’s representative, stressed the importance of such industry events for state and national economies.
Héctor Villarreal, General Director of Canaco Monterrey, praised Ferreshow and Expo Constructo for their representation of the construction industry, which continues to drive development in this vital economic sector for both the state and region.
Villarreal acknowledged the evolution of Ferreshow from its origins as a regional ferreteros’ association trade show.
