During his seventh announcement of investments in less than three years of his administration, Governor Julio Menchaca revealed the attraction of over 117 billion pesos, resulting in the creation of 157,624 jobs. Recognition from Brazil’s Ambassador
Nedilson Ricardo Jorge, Brazil’s Ambassador to Mexico, acknowledged the work being done in Hidalgo: “The governor of Hidalgo has demonstrated that it is possible to attract long-term investments, supported by adequate infrastructure, effective public policies, and committed human capital.”
He further emphasized that Brazil and Mexico, through international cooperation, not only constitute large markets but are also diversified and complementary economies in productive integration and strengthening economic ties.
Sedeco’s Update on Project Status
Carlos Henkel Escorza, Secretary of Economic Development in Hidalgo (Sedeco), mentioned that two municipalities, Tula and Zapotlán, are part of the 14 development poles announced, thanks to President Claudia Sheinbaum’s strategy.
He also reported that out of the 88 projects from previous announcements, 61% are already operational, 22% are under construction, and the remaining 17% are in the permitting stage.
