About ProximityParks and the New Project

ProximityParks, a developer specializing in last-mile logistics industrial parks, has announced the commencement of operations at its new project in Guadalajara, Jalisco. This strategic move aims to boost urban distribution in the metropolitan area.

With an investment exceeding 275 million pesos, ProximityParks Guadalajara Centro seeks to establish itself as a crucial logistics hub, addressing the growing demand for e-commerce and enhancing package delivery times in the city.

Project Details and Benefits

The 18,000 square-meter (m2) operational space is designed to minimize shipping distances, optimize routes, and streamline urban logistics. Its proximity to major consumption zones will enable e-commerce and logistics companies, such as Mercado Libre, to enhance their efficiency.

“We are confident that last-mile logistics can be a sustainable development driver and economic growth engine. Therefore, we will continue leading and investing heavily in the sector, offering top-notch properties in prime locations,” stated Mario Berlanga, General Manager and Co-founder of ProximityParks.

Sustainability Focus

The industrial park stands out for its sustainable approach, built according to international standards based on the LEED certification. It features solar panels, LED lighting, and infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Mercado Libre to Accelerate Deliveries

The launch of ProximityParks Guadalajara Centro will allow Mercado Libre to be closer to the millions of consumers in the city. It is estimated that, within the first three months, the property will facilitate the delivery of over 1.5 million packages, generating an economic impact exceeding 1,000 million pesos.

“This opening by a significant partner like ProximityParks contributes to further strengthening our value proposition in the logistics network. It’s an opportunity to connect more users and fulfill our commitment to deliver throughout the year, including peak seasons like Hot Sale,” said Omar Ramírez, Logistics Director at Mercado Libre Mexico.

ProximityParks’ Growth and Mercado Libre’s Logistics Network

The new site’s opening complements Mercado Libre’s more than 100 e-commerce dedicated logistics nodes across the country. ProximityParks, with over 430,000 m2 in its portfolio and 17 operational industrial parks, sees Guadalajara as a vital part of its growth strategy.
