As part of its expansion in Mexico, Changan has introduced four new models, two of which feature low-emission hybrid technology and attractive fuel efficiency. These vehicles cater to high-demand segments, offering not only appealing equipment but also competitive pricing.
Intelligent Dual Drive (iDD) Technology
Changan’s iDD technology refers to its hybrid electric system, now available for two vehicles with distinct mechanical specifications.
EADO Plus iDD
This family-oriented sedan boasts spaciousness and attractive design, featuring LED lighting and a comprehensive safety system with 12 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including autonomous emergency braking for pedestrians and six airbags.
- Mechanical specifications: 1.5L gasoline engine producing 108 hp and 105 lb-ft of torque, supported by an electric motor generating 211 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque.
- Transmission: E-CVT, with an 18.4 kWh battery requiring 6 hours to fully charge at 220V or 12 hours using a 110V outlet.
- Promised range: 1,180 kilometers.
This sedan is the most affordable hybrid electric vehicle in the country. Its electric range is 120 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle. It will be available in Luxury (459,900 pesos) and Premium (499,900 pesos) versions.
CS55 Plus iDD
This mid-size SUV completes Changan’s offerings, sharing the same mechanics as the sedan but with a different transmission (DHT). The combined range is 1,085 kilometers. Safety features include series assistance like Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Assistant, and 10 ADAS, with the Premium version offering six airbags, compared to four in the Luxury version. Additional features include Lane Change Warning, Heavy Traffic Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking for pedestrians, and more.
The CS55 Plus interior offers high sophistication, with a 12.3-inch floating digital display and a 10-inch cluster in the Luxury version. It also features a DVR Dashcam.
CS75 Pro
This full-size pickup truck has the largest interior capacity, accommodating seven passengers. Its sporty design features dynamic lines and LED lights. The 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine generates 185 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission. Safety features include four airbags and assistants like Traction Control, Emergency Braking Assistance, Hill Descent Assistance, etc.
The CS75 Pro interior boasts details like a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch central display, six speakers, rear climate ventilation, Apple CarPlay, and a DVR Dashcam.
EADO Plus (Gasoline Version)
This family sedan has minor exterior modifications, such as grille and wheel designs. The Luxury version features 17-inch wheels, while the Premium version has 18-inch wheels. The gasoline engine is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder producing 178 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission.
This model has a trunk volume of 460 liters and includes features like a reverse camera, 540° HD counter-camera, and a panoramic roof.
The EADO Plus also offers Sport, Eco, and Normal driving modes. Standard safety features include six airbags, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Stability Control. ADAS features include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Heavy Traffic Assist, and more. The Luxury version costs 379,900 pesos, while the Premium version is priced at 419,900 pesos.
