Starting September 1st, Kathia Muñoz will take on the position of Director of Communications and Public Relations at General Motors (GM) Mexico, joining the Executive Committee in Mexico, led by Paco Garza, President and General Director of GM’s operations in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Tere Cid’s Departure and Kathia Muñoz’s Return

Since April 1st, Tere Cid concluded her role as Director of Communications at GM Mexico, making way for Kathia Muñoz to return to the company. Muñoz had previously been part of GM’s team.

Muñoz brings 22 years of experience in corporate and internal communications, product communication, media relations, social media, corporate social responsibility, advertising, event production, and radio production.

  • Previously, Muñoz served as Director of External Communication and Social Media at AT&T Mexico, where she led the company’s reputation strategy.
  • Before AT&T, she spent 12 years at GM Mexico in Communications, Public Relations, and Post-Sale Advertising.

Muñoz holds a degree in Communications from the Intercontinental University and a Master’s degree in Marketing from ITAM, along with certifications in digital marketing, web analytics, and financial strategies.
