“If our competitors don’t raise prices, we will absorb the IEPS, and that impact is already factored into our financial statements and plans for 2026,” Sparvieri assured.
He also mentioned that, amidst regulatory complexities and slower decision-making processes among competitors, Genomma Lab’s agile structure allows for quicker responses to consumer needs.

Genomma Lab has faced sales challenges due to slowed consumption in Mexico and unfavorable summer weather conditions, including heavy rainfall in various states. This has particularly affected the beverage category, including Suerox.
“We experienced a significant drop in Suerox sales in Mexico during the third quarter, which doesn’t align with consumer sale numbers due to excessive summer season inventory and lingering customer stock,” Sparvieri explained.
