A Pivotal Step Towards a Future-Ready, Integrated Physical and Digital Ecosystem

On June 9, Grupo Coppel announced a historic investment of over 80 billion pesos over the next five years as part of an ambitious transformation plan. This investment is a crucial step towards establishing a more agile, modern, and efficient physical and digital ecosystem while preserving the trust and closeness that have defined the company for over eight decades.

“We are evolving to become a more agile, integrated physical and digital ecosystem. Our commitment is to remain a world-class company while preserving our essence: trust, closeness, and the purpose of continuously improving people’s lives,” said Diego Coppel Sullivan, Director Commercial.

Three Key Strategic Fronts

The plan encompasses three strategic fronts:

  • Physical Expansion (50%): The opening of 100 new stores by 2025, along with new distribution centers, will strengthen the brand’s presence nationwide and expand its commercial offerings with specialized units in motorcycles, fashion, sports, optics, and home improvement.
  • Technological Transformation (40%): The renewal of its e-commerce platform and the modernization of over 4,500 digital kiosks in stores aim to double digital sales to 20% of the total, offering a more intuitive, quick, and personal experience. Among over 200 new features are Pick-up Store, gift table, sizing guide, online returns, product reviews, delivery scheduling, and spare parts search for vehicles.
  • Mobility and Sustainability (10%): A more efficient and eco-friendly logistics will be promoted, with the goal of achieving 30% clean energy by 2030. By the end of 2025, 890 properties will have solar panels installed, and a fleet of 800 sustainable vehicles will be integrated.

A Refreshed Image for a Global Company

As part of this transformation, Grupo Coppel also unveiled a new visual identity, led by the evolution of its iconic key, now more versatile and contemporary. This update is part of the “Tú eres la llave” (You are the Key) campaign, which puts individual potential at the center to open new opportunities and build one’s own path.

“The key has always represented more than just access to credit; it has been a symbol of trust, inclusion, social mobility, and the possibility of building wealth. Today, that key evolves into a more contemporary one, representing the immense potential each person carries within,” said Liliana Iñigo, Director Corporativa of Marketing for Grupo Coppel.

By the end of 2025, 500 stores across Mexico will be renovated to reflect this new identity, which will also be present on digital platforms, media, events, and in-store experiences.
