Introduction to Jetour Soueast in the Mexican Market
The Chinese automotive brand Jetour, in collaboration with Soueast, officially launched its presence in the Mexican market to sell off-road and urban vehicles. The company aims to commercialize between 4,000 and 6,000 units by the second half of 2025.
Jetour entered the Mexican market two years ago as a vehicle distributor but has now formed the new Jetour Soueast brand to tap into an underexplored segment among Mexicans: off-road SUVs.
Jetour Soueast’s Vision and Strategy
Saúl Espinoza, Vice President of Jetour Soueast for Mexico, stated: “We are coming from China to take advantage of the fact that we are practically a niche brand. We aim to position ourselves in a market where customers still don’t have full access to an off-road experience and to renew the SUV offerings.”
New Models and Pricing
During the launch event, Espinoza presented six models, including two hybrid off-road SUVs and urban vehicles.
Jetour has been operating with agencies offering products for the past two years, and these will now be joined by the new ones under Jetour Soueast.
“Sales numbers or market share percentage will only be a result of our planning and execution in marketing, quality, portfolio selection, distributor choice, and the number of distributors,” Espinoza explained.
Global Leadership Support
Espinoza was accompanied by global leaders, including Li Xueyong, Chairman of JETOUR & SOUEAST, and Ke Chuandeng, President of JETOUR & SOUEAST International.
“The Mexican automotive industry will welcome two distinct identities committed to quality and innovation. Jetour and Soueast reflect that there is no single way to experience the journey, whether it’s scaling mountains or conquering asphalt. This new joint brand represents our corporate principles and the offerings for the Mexican market,” said executive Li Xueyong.
Product Lineup and Pricing
Jetour Soueast will begin commercialization with the T2 i-DM, a hybrid off-road SUV priced at 899,900 pesos. The T1 and T2 models with combustion engines will range from 600,000 to 779,000 pesos.
