Arjan Meijer, Embraer Commercial Aviation’s head, expressed his pride in delivering to the state airline that will connect more Mexican populations with greater efficiency and comfort.
“The E2 is the world’s most fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft, perfectly suited to Mexicana’s network and sustainability goals,” Meijer detailed.
Timeline of the Aircraft Delivery
Initially, the first aircraft was expected to arrive in Mexico before the end of June for operational readiness, with services commencing no later than two months after completing required certifications by the Federal Agency of Civil Aviation (AFAC).
The final delivery date was announced last week, and the official announcement was made on Monday by Defensa:
