The ADI: 33 Years of Urban Development in Mexico
The Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI) is behind the organization of Expo Desarrollo Inmobiliario. The ADI, Mexico’s top real estate industry body, brings together the country’s 80 most prominent developers. Their investments and projects directly impact economic development, job creation, and urban transformation in various regions.
ADI members are responsible for 60% of Mexico’s real estate development, with projects in mid-range and residential housing, offices, shopping centers, industrial parks, hotels, and mixed-use developments. These investments directly affect 48 economic sectors and contribute 16% to the national GDP.
Commitment to Legality and Sustainability
ADI members adhere strictly to the law, maintain high-quality standards, and practice responsible actions in all real estate development aspects, guided by their Code of Ethics.
Aware of global challenges, the ADI has strengthened its focus on ASG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria. Specific actions include environmental care initiatives like the ASG Good Practices Guide, which sets 9 objectives aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (ODS).
Active Participation with Authorities and Communities
The ADI maintains active institutional collaboration with authorities at all government levels, aiming to create a fair and efficient regulatory framework that simplifies administrative processes, improves regulations, and increases transparency in urban development-related matters.
The association also actively engages in dialogue with communities where their projects are developed, ensuring quality, coexistence, and sustainability. Their projects contribute to the environment through mitigation works, including road creation, bike lanes, water infrastructure, lighting, parks, and public space recovery.
In a context of economic recovery and urban transformation, the ADI and its members strive for a stronger, more professional, innovative, and Mexico-committed real estate sector.
