About the Initiative and Its Goals
Climathon México 2025 is an initiative by Impact Hub, Climate-KIC, and the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) aiming to combat climate change. The program is part of the Catal 1.5t initiative, which seeks to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
Felix Steinberg, the project director of CATAL1.5T, emphasizes the need for technological innovation to address climate change challenges across various sectors, including agriculture, energy, mobility, and industry.
Participation Details
Individuals and groups of three to five members, aged 18 or above, can participate. Participants should be university students, recent graduates, entrepreneurs, developers, or individuals focused on environmental solutions and reside in one of the participating cities.

Project Selection Criteria
Projects will be chosen based on environmental criteria, with participants demonstrating genuine interest in conservation and availability to engage in further activities post-Climathon 2025.
Innovative proposals with relevant environmental knowledge addressing local challenges will be prioritized. Projects must align with their city’s specific issues.
