Santander Mexico customers can now perform contactless cash withdrawals at the bank’s ATMs. By simply approaching their card to the sensor and entering their password, customers can access their cash without physical contact.
A Unique Innovation in Mexican Banking
Santander Mexico has introduced this unique contactless cash withdrawal feature, which is now available in more than 8,000 out of its over 10,000 ATMs across the country and will reach the remaining ATMs in the coming days. This new functionality addresses user needs for more agile, comfortable, and secure cash withdrawal options.
Existing Cash Withdrawal Options
Alongside contactless withdrawals, Santander Mexico offers other cash withdrawal methods, including traditional card insertion with NIP, obtaining a code through the mobile app without a physical card, and using a QR code generated within the app.

How NFC Withdrawals Work
To use the NFC feature, customers need to tap their Santander card on the NFC reader, enter their NIP, and complete the transaction. With 8 out of 10 ATM operations in Santander Mexico being cash withdrawals, this innovation will significantly benefit customers.
The daily cash withdrawal limit is 12,500 Mexican pesos.
