International Recognition: Rasmus Munk and Ana Roš

In parallel, The Best Chef Awards announced its global podium. Danish chef Rasmus Munk from Alchemist in Copenhagen was named the best chef in the world for the second consecutive year. He was followed by Slovenian Ana Roš from Hiša Franko and Indian Himanshu Saini from Trèsind Studio in Dubai.

Sebastián Jiménez: A Mexican Chef in the Faroe Islands

Apart from the Mexican chefs recognized in Mexico, Sebastián Jiménez received two knives for his work at World Class in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. Born in Atlixco, Puebla, Jiménez has created a unique culinary proposal that blends traditional Faroese flavors with international influences and Mexican touches. Starting his career at 17, he has become a cultural bridge that highlights how Mexican gastronomy transcends borders and engages in a global dialogue from any corner.

A New Format for Recognition

Created in 2017 by Italian Cristian Gadau and Polish Joanna Slusarczyk, The Best Chef Awards abandoned the global ranking in 2024 for a flexible system of recognitions: between one and three knives, along with a podium for the top three chefs worldwide.

This change aims to highlight both established figures and emerging projects, acknowledging culinary diversity in all its forms.
