Introduction
HONOR, in collaboration with prominent Mexican universities and the UNESCO, has launched the fifth edition of HONOR Talents 2025. This international platform celebrates the creativity of emerging generations under the theme “Art & Tech, Innovate for the Future.” The initiative aims to empower young artists and designers by providing a global stage for showcasing their talents, merging creativity, culture, and technological innovation.
About HONOR Talents 2025
The call for HONOR Talents 2025 will be open until October 21, 2025, after which the evaluation and selection process for winning talents will commence. The official launch of the 2025 call took place at the Azcapotzalco campus of the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM), one of the venues hosting workshops, conferences, and other formative activities during this edition.

The launch event was attended by Adolfo Rodríguez Guerrero, Coordinator of Programs for the Education Sector at UNESCO in Mexico; Yadira Zavala Osorio, Rector of UAM Azcapotzalco; and representatives from the division of Sciences and Arts for Design. HONOR was represented by Kryssia Soto, Senior Marketing Manager; Zian Lee, Director of International Public Affairs; and Yang Ye, International Public Affairs Manager.
Inspiring Themes
The Latin American jury division for HONOR Talents 2025 will feature distinguished personalities such as Laura Figueroa, a member of the World Design Organization’s council, and Yunuene, a renowned contemporary Mexican artist. This panel of experts will play a crucial role in identifying and recognizing emerging creativity.

This year’s competition presents four categories that serve as inspiration for young participants to explore their creativity and develop innovative designs:

- Genesis · The Future: Fusion of Technology and Art
- Youth Convergence · Integration: International Cultural Exchange from a Youth Perspective

Activities and Awards
Alongside UAM Azcapotzalco, the HONOR Talents committee will visit the Tecnológico de Monterrey and UNAM, offering exhibitions, courses, and seminars to further develop students’ artistic and creative skills. This encourages their participation in the fifth edition of the contest.
Design Categories
For the 2025 edition, interested participants can join six design categories that cover various aspects of art and technology interaction:
- Themes: Creation of wallpapers for conventional and foldable smartphones.
- Watches: Design of watch faces and straps.
- Creation with HONOR Pad: Development of artworks using any HONOR Pad model.
- Design with AI: Reflection of human-computer interaction.
- Accessories: Designs combining art and fashion in consumer items.
- Art and Technology: Integration of technology with artistic works.
Winners will receive substantial awards to encourage excellence. The HONOR Star Designer of the Future Award will grant first place a practice pass, a $1000 HONOR Scholarship, a HONOR Magic Series phone, a HONOR Pad, and headphones.
In the Visual Design category, prizes will be awarded to the top seven participants, including HONOR Magic Series and Number Series phones, HONOR Pads, and headphones. Arte y Tecnología award winners will also receive high-end HONOR devices. Furthermore, four special prize recipients will each receive a HONOR Pad.
The 2024 edition’s winners, Cesar Efrén Herrera Andrade from UNAM and Ana Laura Sarmiento from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, were given an unforgettable experience: a visit to HONOR’s China headquarters. They participated in specialized workshops and gained firsthand knowledge of the relationship between technology and art, a unique opportunity for their professional growth.
