The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, a 55-year-old fallen music mogul, is taking place in New York. He faces charges of sexual assault and leading a prostitution ring. If found guilty, he could face an effective life sentence.

Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, is a prominent rapper who has recently testified in this high-profile case. His testimony comes after Kid Cudi’s ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, accused Combs of violence, abuse, and forcing her into sexual encounters during their decade-long relationship.

Kid Cudi’s Testimony

Initial Intrusion:

Kid Cudi, dressed in a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and a white t-shirt, recounted that Ventura contacted him one day, sounding “scared” and “nervous,” as Combs had discovered their relationship.

Taking Ventura to a Hotel:

Believing they were no longer together, Kid Cudi took Ventura to a hotel for her safety, keeping her “off Combs’ radar.”

Hotel Stay and Hotel Incident

During their stay at the hotel, Kid Cudi received a call from Combs’ assistant, Capricorn Clark, informing him that Combs had entered his home.

“I’m waiting for you,” Combs reportedly said when Kid Cudi called him back. Upon arriving at his house, Kid Cudi found Combs absent but his dog locked in a bedroom. His initial impulse was to confront Combs, but instead, he called the police.

Arson Incident

Shortly after, in January 2012, Kid Cudi’s car was set on fire. The prosecution presented six photos of the burning vehicle along with a molotov cocktail to the jury.

Ventura’s Allegations:

Ventura testified last week that Combs, in a fit of rage over the love triangle, threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car. She said he mentioned videos he possessed and how he intended to harm both Kid Cudi and herself.

Kid Cudi’s Confirmation:

Kid Cudi supported Ventura’s testimony by stating that when Combs mentioned the burning car, the powerful music executive pretended not to understand.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Kid Cudi recalled telling Combs. When questioned by prosecutors about what Kid Cudi understood Combs’ response to mean, the rapper replied that it signified Combs was lying.
