Event Overview and Participation
More than 25,000 people gathered in Mexico City to participate in the 47th annual LGBT+ Pride March, which took place along major avenues and streets in the capital.
Participants began congregating at the Angel of Independence early in the morning, with the march officially starting at noon and heading towards the Zocalo.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC-CDMX) closed off several roadways, including both directions of Reforma between the Inner Circuit and Violet Avenue, as well as Av. Juarez and Central Lazaro Cardenas, to ensure smooth progression of the participating contingents.
Despite recent rainy and cold weather, the conditions on Saturday allowed for a successful execution of the 47th Pride March without any significant issues.
Silent Segment
For the second time in the march’s history, a special silent segment was included. This segment began at the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Luchan and ended at the Anti-monumento de los 43.
Organizers requested participants break the silence with shouts, applause, or by naming victims of the 2014 tragedy once they reached designated points.
Concert at the Zocalo
The iconic Mexico City Pride March, themed “Diversity without borders: Justice, Resistance and Unity!”, celebrated its 47th edition as both a visibility act and a celebration of diversity.
Following the march, various events took place at the Zocalo, including the crowning of this year’s reigning monarchs and musical performances by artists representing diverse genres.
- Mariana Ochoa: Former member of OV7 and “Reina Aliada LGBT 2025,” she will perform as a soloist for the first time.
- Gala Montes: Ex-participant of La Casa de los Famosos México, crowned Reina del Orgullo 2025.
- Pablo Ruiz: Argentine singer and host, named Rey del Pride 2025.
The event at the Plaza de la Constitución will be hosted by journalist Luis Magaña and drag queen Pepa Show, with Gala Montes and Pablo Ruiz in attendance.
Although no specific start time for the concert has been announced, it will commence once the contingents arrive at the Zocalo following the official parade.
