During the lab tour, various analysis processes were observed. For instance, alcohol content in beer or tequila is measured, chocolate purity through cacao quantity, tire resistance, textile properties, and the measurement of heavy metals like lead, cadmium, or arsenic in various products. Additionally, bisphenol measurement is conducted—a group of chemical compounds used in plastic and resin manufacturing, primarily to avoid their use in children’s products.

These evaluation companies are allies to the Sistema Nacional de Infraestructura de la Calidad (SNIC), which is regulated by the Ley de Infraestructura de la Calidad and the Integrated Technology Platform for Quality Infrastructure.
