The Mexican National Weather Service (SMN) confirmed the formation of Tropical Depression One-E south of Guerrero’s coast on this Wednesday. This marks the first tropical cyclone of the 2025 Pacific North-Eastern season, following the start of Mexico’s rainy season on May 15.

According to the SMN’s forecast, Tropical Depression One-E will bring “intense” rainfall to Puebla, Michoacán, and Guerrero. Querétaro, Tlaxcala, Hidalgo, the State of Mexico, Morelos will experience “very strong” rainfall. Jalisco, Colima, Guanajuato, and Mexico City will see “strong” rainfall.

  • Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, and Guerrero coasts will also experience wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h and waves up to 2 to 3 meters high.
