Introduction

In the necessary recap of unforeseen storms without prior warning, irreparable ones that should not have consequences in 2027, despite the short memory of some political actors in Mexico. The reality surpasses even imagination or the desires of an evolving democracy worldwide.

Veracruz: A Case Study in Neglect

Veracruz stands as the clearest example of what is left undone, with rescue efforts imminent in the coming year for this and other 17 entities holding gubernatorial elections. The process will involve a ruthless wave of equity in the designation and allocation of candidacies, involving both women and men who will become leaders or deputies, with a heavier focus on Morena, the direction many political careers are heading.

The list in the Chamber of Deputies is notable, but the Senate has also become a significant springboard in recent decades for returning to one’s home state, despite cases like those of the jarochos who voted for someone not born there or who did not visibly benefit the public during their brief political tenure.

Campeche: A Thorny Crown

Campeche, another jewel in this crown, albeit of thorns, sees a struggle for the governor’s seat in the fourth-floor office on 10th Street in the historic downtown area. The power play involves those who decide the fate of all versus those who pull the strings for potential candidates, transcending mere fiction within a movement led by an overstaying state director.

As they say, nothing happens by chance. Layda Sansores has Liz Hernández, her favored candidate, in the Secretariat of Government. This is a continuation of the 1997 tactic used to profit from unhealed wounds, leaving others destitute despite losing the election. Yet, through negotiation, José Antonio González Curi secured his position.

The Political Sector’s Division

There is no indication of an impending change where the plunder by modern pirates, disguised as saviors, finally ends. The current makeup of the business sector, mostly heirs of notable figures who worked hard and amassed fortunes from shrimp and the arrival of PEMEX, remains unaffected by mere discourse or division.

The order has been given from the Campeche capital and will be repeated in Veracruz, dividing and conquering to secure representation for safeguarding political power and the billions that flow into states like these every six years. These funds, however, fail to benefit the majority, with social programs appearing as flimsy arguments lacking substance since they originate from everyone’s taxes but rarely reach those who need them most.

Political Manipulation and Opposition

The people recognize the manipulation by those controlling political structures. There is only token opposition in Campeche, leading to the downfall of former panista party owners. This scenario mirrors recent history.

ENTRE LÍNEAS

The Federal Legislators’ Indifference on the Petroleum Island; Ciudad del Carmen, the Discourse of Lies about What They Don’t Do Pervades the Atmosphere. The picture of yet another defeat among those susceptible to arrogance is palpable.
