Mexico’s Secretariats and Private Sector Unite to Align Technical Education with Industry Needs

The Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) is responsible for curriculum updates, dual education, microcredentials, and teacher training. The Secretaría de Economía aligns talent development with strategic sectors and value chains. The Secretaría del Trabajo ensures that education translates into quality jobs, while the Secretaría de Ciencia y Tecnología promotes innovation and knowledge transfer. Ceneval and Conocer ensure the validity and quality of certifications, and the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial collaborates with industry chambers to create real-world learning environments for young people.
