Rappi Affiliates 150,000 with IMSS
Rappi, a Colombian-origin delivery platform and service aggregator, announced that by the end of July, it had affiliated 150,000 delivery personnel with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) through a pilot program launched at the beginning of the previous month to comply with labor reform regulating digital platform employment.
The reform stipulates that workers earning equal to or more than the minimum wage will have all labor rights recognized by law, including full IMSS and Infonavit affiliation, workplace accident coverage, medical and maternity coverage, advanced age and retirement severance, disability and life insurance, childcare, and social benefits.
