Sheinbaum’s Commitment to Comprehensive Healthcare
Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, President of Mexico, emphasized that the “Salud Casa por Casa” program ensures no elderly person will be left without a home visit from medical professionals. In Guerrero, this has resulted in 75,263 home consultations.
“Healthcare workers are leaving clinics and going into the field to visit every elderly person in the country,” Sheinbaum stated.
She highlighted that “Salud Casa por Casa” is a crucial preventive program, reaching even the most remote areas to provide healthcare, love, and attention to elderly individuals and people with disabilities.
“We can build many hospitals, but without taking care of our health, they won’t be enough. Our goal is to prevent people from needing hospitals; that’s the objective,” Sheinbaum explained.
Complementary Initiatives
The “Salud Casa por Casa” program will be supported by the construction of Farmacias del Bienestar alongside Centros de Salud and Tiendas Bienestar, enabling beneficiaries to acquire medications for free.
Moreover, Sheinbaum mentioned that the “Acapulco se transforma contigo” program has bolstered infrastructure and road conditions in the region, aiding recovery from natural disasters like hurricane Otis.
Key Roles in Guerrero’s Health Initiative
Secretary of Bienestar, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, clarified that 900 medical professionals are visiting the homes of 430,000 beneficiaries to provide medical care.
Additionally, mobile brigades will traverse Guerrero’s mountainous regions to reach even the most isolated areas.
“Salud Casa por Casa” – An Innovative Approach
Secretary of Health, David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz, described “Salud Casa por Casa” as an innovative, comprehensive, and personalized program aimed at reducing diseases.
Zoé Robledo Aburto, Director of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), emphasized that the program will bring well-being and prosperity to elderly individuals and people with disabilities.
He also noted the strengthening of medical care in the region through the rehabilitation of the “Vicente Guerrero” hospital, which now has 500 beds: 350 for hospitalization and 150 for complementary services.

Evelyn Salgado Pineda, Governor of Guerrero, affirmed that “Salud Casa por Casa” exemplifies the commitment of transformational governments to their territories.
“There can be no transformation without social justice, and there can be no social justice without health,” Salgado Pineda commented.
