Overview of Claudia Sheinbaum’s National Accountability Tour
Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the President of Mexico City, announced that she will conclude her national accountability tour on Sunday, October 5th, at the Zócalo in Mexico City. This event aims to inform citizens about her accomplishments during her first year in office.
“I decided to go beyond just presenting the report to Congress and addressing the nation from Palacio Nacional. I wanted to visit all states in Mexico, face the people, and render accounts directly,” Sheinbaum stated.
Sheinbaum’s Itinerary and Key Programs
During her tour, Sheinbaum visited Tlaxcala and Puebla, having already covered nine states. The tour will culminate at the Plaza de la Constitución, allowing her to engage with citizens across Mexico.
In Apizaco, she emphasized the achievements of the Fourth Transformation, a term coined by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador after his 2018 election victory.
“In Mexico, we nourish the economy from the grassroots level. Resources are directed to the majority, and when nurtured from below, like trees, it flourishes. That’s why Mexico is blossoming under the Fourth Transformation of public life,” Sheinbaum explained.
