The Mexican government, through the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), is making significant progress in building the University Rosario Castellanos campus in Teolocholco, Tlaxcala. Construction Progress and Impact
The construction is in its final stage with a 91% completion rate. The campus will include classrooms, a civic plaza, parking areas, and green spaces. The development has been divided into two phases.
- In the first phase, four buildings are being constructed:
- A building with 20 classrooms for 800 students.
- A building with four laboratories, two computer areas, and two specialty areas.
- An auditorium with a capacity for 300 people.
- A building designated for the library and administrative areas.
During construction, 450 direct and 100 indirect jobs have been generated, contributing to the local economy, primarily in San Luis Teolocholco.
First Generation and Academic Offerings
Upon completion, the university will have an initial enrollment of 1,680 students, with 840 per shift. Students will have access to modern, dignified, and accessible facilities for their professional development.
