In 2025, the governors of Mexico’s 31 federal entities and the Head of Government of Mexico City concluded the year with an average national monthly approval rating of 49.7%. This represents a slight decrease of 0.1% from the previous month in November.

According to the Ranking Mitofsky report on Mexico’s governors and governors, a survey conducted for El Economista, 15 governors saw their approval ratings drop in December compared to the previous month. Among them, 12 were from Morena, two from MC, and one from PRI. Conversely, 15 governors experienced an increase in approval ratings: nine from Morena, four from PAN, one from PRI, and another from PVEM. Two governors maintained their approval ratings unchanged.

Eighteen governors had a “high” rating (50-59.9%), twelve had a “medium” rating (40-49.9%), and two were at the bottom with less than 39.9%, classified as “low.” The eight opposition governors had a better approval rating (53.3%) compared to the 24 governing party members (48.4%).
